2023 State Affiliate Benchmarking Survey- please complete by June 8th
Each state affiliate is required to complete the following State Affiliate benchmarking survey to the best of your ability by June 8th. Any state affiliate leader can complete this on behalf of your state affiliate.
Your participation will help us plan COSAR activities and support for the year, share benchmarking and best practices among the state affiliates and update AGS' state affiliate listing and communications list.

- Agenda: we welcome our new co-chair, Lisa Miura and will have discussion led by our subgroups on the topics of advocacy & partnerships, diversity of disciplines & geographic scope, member insights & engagement & communications, and structure & planning.

Special Webinar- Indiana Geriatrics Society Regional Development Program Tuesday, June 27th 3-4pm ET.
Please join us for a special presentation about Indiana's Regional Development program by former COSAR co-chair and current Indiana State Affiliate leader, Kathy Frank, AGSF, PhD, RN. State affiliates who want to reach a wider geographic audience will benefit from hearing how Indiana has created regions throughout the state of Indiana. Indiana's goals have been to expand the geriatric professional network in their state for bi-directional educational exchanges, increase membership, and promote engagement with geriatric educational activities. Tune in to learn more!

COSAR SubGroups
All subgroups will have the opportunity to meet from 12:30-1pm, prior to the COSAR meeting on June 6th. Zoom meeting spaces have been set up for each group. If you are not currently part of a subgroup, but would like to join one, please email cosar@americangeriatrics.org .
SubGroup Responsibilities::
-plan and facilitate discussion on topic during each COSAR quarterly meeting.
-create/develop resources on topic and update cosar@americangeriatrics.org on progress prior to COSAR meetings
-post on subgroup topic in the COSAR community at least once a month.
Each subgroup has its own community where subgroup participants can communicate, share, and collaborate on resources. SubGroup communities can be accessed via direct link or from the COSAR community.

Physician Assistant Profession Title Change to Physician Associate
The American Academy of Physician Associates officially changed the title of the PA profession from "physician assistant" to "physician associate" . We encourage each state affiliate to review your website and materials to transition and reference PAs as physician associates.

AGS Virtual Mentorship Program- Mentor Match AGS members can join as a mentee and/or mentor and find a match based on shared goals and schedule/communication preferences. Mentor Match is yet another great benefit for ALL members, but we especially encourage you to promote it to your trainee members.
