Purpose
The Humana Value-Based Care Research Awards are presented to individuals whose original research reflects new and relevant insights in value-based care in the geriatric population.
Eligibility
The Humana Value-Based Care Research award is given to the author of the highest scoring AGS Annual Meeting abstract addressing the “quadruple-aim” of healthcare. The quadruple-aim consists of:
- enhancing the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction);
- improving the health of populations;
- reducing the per capita cost of health care;
- improving the care of and experience of the healthcare team.
Application Process
Applicants must complete an awards application (click "apply now", above) and submit an abstract of research or research-in-progress electronically via the abstract submission site.
Award
$2,000. These funds are intended, in part, to cover awardees' travel expenses to attend the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
