The Coalition for Compassionate Care of California (CCCC) is holding a webinar on November 17, "Palliative Care & Age-Friendly Health Systems: Why 'What Matters' Matters."
During the webinar, Amy Berman, RN, LHD, FAAN, senior program officer with The John A. Hartford Foundation, will share her story about living well for nearly 10 years with stage IV cancer as an example of why “What Matters” really matters. She will also discuss how "What Matters" frames a new national movement, the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, around the care of older adults. Dr. Berman will explain the initiative's 4Ms framework - what Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility - and will also discuss opportunities to engage in the initiative.
