When:  Feb 22, 2025 from 08:00 AM to 11:30 AM (ET)

Geriatric patients make up an increasing proportion of the hospital population. As part of the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) annual tradition of hosting public health outreach events, SCCM offers FREE Acute Care Geriatric Sensitivity Training before the 2025 Critical Care Congress to learn the skills needed to care for an aging patient population.

All healthcare professionals, including medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals are invited to attend the program, which features:

  • Lectures covering special considerations for working with geriatric patients

  • Case-based scenarios
    Hands-on learning

Attendees will receive a certificate for participating in this professional development training.

This free event is held in conjunction with SCCM’s Critical Care Congress and with assistance from the University of Central Florida College of Nursing. SCCM’s Congress features a special education track on geriatric medicine in partnership with the American Geriatrics Society. For more information and to register, see here
