the ADACC Network in partnership with the Geriatric Emergency Care Applied Research (GEAR) Network 2.0 – Advancing Dementia Care will be hosting “From the Emergency Department to Primary Care: Reimagining Dementia Detection with Blood-Based Biomarkers” April 9 & 10 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This conference will bring together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and ethicists to explore how detecting dementia and cognitive impairment can expand beyond traditional memory clinics. Sessions will focus on the role of blood-based biomarkers in emergency settings and address key issues such as clinical utility, diagnostic accuracy, health equity, and the implications of identifying cognitive impairment and dementia during acute care.
