2023 Annual NIDUS Delirium Bootcamp

Starts:  Oct 29, 2023 09:00 AM (ET)
Ends:  Oct 31, 2023 05:00 PM (ET)

This National Institute of Aging-funded research training bootcamp (R13185760), now in its 11th year, will be held on the beautiful campus of UNC-Chapel Hill, NC from Sunday October 29th to Tues October 31, 2023.   The 2023 bootcamp theme is "Advancing Translational and Implementation Research in Delirium"

The 2023 Bootcamp will be led by a faculty of more than 15 experienced delirium researchers, who collectively, have expertise in everything from animal models, biomarkers, epidemiology, clinical trials, implementation science, delirium assessment and statistical methods (and their application in the clinical settings where delirium is most frequently encountered).  The bootcamp is all about junior researcher mentorship and engagement: program highlights include interactive didactic sessions on a broad range of topics, mock-NIH study sections, formal (and informal) networking and mentorship sessions….and some great Southern food!

Over the past decade, a motivated group of more than 100 junior delirium researchers have graduated from the NIDUS bootcamp. Many of these Bootcamp alumn now have significant research funding and have become leaders in their respective fields.

An overview of the NIDUS bootcamp is available here: https://deliriumnetwork.org/career-development/nidus-bootcamp/

Note:

*International applications are encouraged

*All mentee travel/hotel costs are covered by the program.

*While mentee research proposals must evaluate delirium as an outcome, this can be a secondary outcome; delirium does not necessarily have to be the sole focus of the project.
