Geriatrics and the Changing Landscape of Healthcare Webinar Series: Transition to Value-Based Care

This fall, the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is offering a webinar series focused on Geriatrics and the Changing Landscape of Healthcare. The series kicks off Thur., September 29th at 4:00 p.m. ET with a webinar featuring Alan E. Lazaroff, MD, AGSF, Cheryl L. Phillips, MD, AGSF, and Thomas D. Cain, MD.
Topics to be covered include Medicare fee-for-service and the move to value-based care, health plans impact on delivery of care, and the role of geriatrics health professionals in this shifting landscape. Webinar two will provide an overview of the disrupters that are reshaping the current environment and the value they offer to beneficiaries and payers. The third and final webinar will focus on the role of geriatrics health professionals in the new models, impact and role for academia, and emerging career paths for clinicians working in one of these new models.   Our thanks to AGS leaders Linda V.
