2017 Intensive Update with Board Review in Geriatric and Palliative Medicine CME Course

A four-day clinically-based intensive course in geriatrics and palliative medicine taught by leading experts in both fields providing updates on geriatric syndromes and palliative medicine and the latest research and treatments.

Each day consists of five large group sessions (four on Friday) and three interactive workshops designed to provide both practical experience with the large group material as well as to cover other content areas.  Each workshop session has a choice of six to seven workshops with a balance of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine choices.  Some workshops are repeated based on demand and all workshops are case-based. Comprehensive Board Review Q&A sessions with ARS (Automated Response System) take place during lunch three days.

This course is sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Brookdale Department of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine, the Lilian & Benjamin Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute of The Mount Sinai Medical Center, and endorsed by the American Geriatrics Society, Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), the Bronx VA, GRECC, and The Consortium of New York Geriatric Education Centers (CNYGEC).

This course is designed for clinicians and those who are taking the geriatric medicine and/or hospice and palliative medicine certification(s) or recertification in geriatric medicine. Additionally, this course is for those physicians and other healthcare professionals who want to update their clinical knowledge in geriatric and palliative medicine.
