For logistics and housekeeping purposes, online booking will close at midnight on Friday 22nd September 2017.  For capacity reasons, we are sorry but it will not be possible to accept new bookings on conference days.  We encourage you to book early as there are a limited number of places available.  Delegates arriving at the conference hotel on Thursday evening will be able to complete their event registration between 19.00 and 21.00.

Student: €50 (you may chose this option if you clearly meet the specific IGS student criteria. A copy of your student ID card will be requested on registration.  If you wish to register as a student, please contact Elaine O Connor secretary@irishgerontology.com to make your booking.

Summary: 54 platform presentations, 218 poster presentations, 4 keynotes, special interest group metings. Plenary session: Update on Changing Perspectives in Gerontology.

Platform (oral) presenters:

An oral presentation is a total of 10 minutes - inclusive of 2 minutes you should allow for questions. A traffic-light system will be in operation to indicate you are approaching the end of your time.  Presentations must be in Powerpoint format. AV personnel will be ready to upload your presentation at the Conference Centre from 8 am on Friday, 29th September, and from 8.30 am on Saturday, 30th.  If you would like to send your presentation in advance, please email it before 28th September to:  Simon@avchire.com. Please state the title of your presentation, session number and room.

Poster presenters:

The poster stand is 2.25 metres high x 1 metre wide. It will take a standard A0 size in portrait orientation (Height 1189 mm x Width 841 mm).  Your poster board number will be different from your abstract reference number. The poster-board number will be on your board, and there will be Velcro in situ to attach the poster.   On arrival, onsite conference volunteers will help you to locate your poster board. All posters should be mounted on Thurs evening 19:00-21:00 OR  Fri morning 07:45-08:45 am. Your poster should be removed no later than noon on Saturday.  Unclaimed posters will be discarded.
