On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM), we would be delighted to invite you to our upcoming meeting. This premier conference for Geriatric Medicine in Australasia will be held in Rotorua, New Zealand from 10-12th May, 2017 at the Energy Events Centre, Rotorua.

Our meeting theme, "Older People’s Care through Community, Collaboration & Communication", will showcase successes and challenges in the provision of accessible, efficient and co-ordinated care for older adults in both acute and community settings. We are delighted to have Professor John Young, Head of the Academic Unit of Elderly Care & Rehabilitation, University of Leeds as a keynote speaker. He has an established record of addressing key, clinically relevant questions in elderly care and stroke. Also, speaking is Professor Ngaire Kerse, Head of School of Population Health at The University of Auckland who is a leading researcher into the epidemiology of ageing in rural NZ.

The meeting will showcase some key developments in the design of facilities that cater for those with cognitive loss. We are planning sessions especially targeted for trainees in Geriatric Medicine, as well as junior consultants to better equip them in their professional development.

Additionally,we are planning a spectacular dinner at the Sir Howard Morrison Events Centre.

We hope you can participate and contribute in Rotorua!
